Tulisa Contostavlos was reportedly arrested on Thursday night on suspicion of drink driving
"One of the drivers, a 27-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and taken to an East London police station. A breath test was administered. We do not discuss the results. She remains in custody."
The incident is a big set-back for Tulisa, who has been concentrating on her music career after a turbulent 18-months during 2013-2014, which included a series of high-profile court appearances.
In November, she made her long-awaited return to the stage, following the collapse of her drugs trial in July.
Allegations that Tulisa had supplied class A drugs were dropped on 21 July when Judge Alistair McCreath threw out the case after ruling that there were "strong grounds" to believe that a witness for the prosecution had lied to the court. Stading on the steps of the court after her case was thrown out, she told the press: "This whole case was a horrific and disgusting entrapment.”
Following the collapse of the trial – almost a year after the accusations against her were first made – the former X Factor judge said that she was back in the recording studio and working on new music to help her move past the incident.
