Craig, who was performing in the BBC Radio 1Xtra Live Lounge, put his own magnetic twist on the UK number one pop song.
Craig David turned Justin Bieber's pop song into a garage track
Turning the Bieber track into a garage tune, Craig's version featured a sped-up vocal and the artist even closed the song with his signature rapping.
A video of Craig performing was uploaded on YouTube and the clip has since gone viral. Fans of the Nineties and Noughties were especially appreciative of Craig's cover, with one YouTube user commenting: "Soooo refreshing. Good on ya Craig David for staying true to yourself and music."
The artist was clearly humbled by the outpouring of support he received, as he took to Twitter to write: "Thank you! The love for this is overwhelming."

Craig was last in the spotlight in December, when he collaborated with Reggie N Bollie for The X Factor finals. The 34-year-old joined the Ghanaian rappers on stage to deliver an electrifying mash-up of his classic tune Re-Rewind and Fuse ODG's Tina.
And it sounds like the Grammy Award nominee caught the attention of one judge in particular, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Craig and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini are said to working on new material together
"Cheryl and Craig are fans of each other's work," a source told The Mirror. "Cheryl listened to Craig's earlier work as a teenager and also likes his new material.
"He's keen to help write a track for her as the timing is perfect for both of them musically – and they both have plenty of ideas."
At the start of the New Year Cheryl hinted that she was ready to start recording, as she posted a selfie on Instagram and captioned it: "Think it's time for the... Studio!!! It is 2016..."
