She was objected to verbal abuse about her "mummy tummy" just 11 days after giving birth to her second child, Buddy, earlier this year. And on Wednesday's episode of Lorraine, author Giovanna Fletcher has revealed she is still being body-shammed five months on.

During her interview, the mother-of-two - who is married to McFly rocker Tom Fletcher - said people should be a lot less judgmental and be more kind.

"I was out and someone asked for a photo, before saying: 'Oh look, Mummy still has her tummy,'" Giovanna recalled, while sharing details of the initial incident, which took place in February. "Then she asked me to be in the photo and I refused, so she said 'Maybe in a few months' time when your face has slimmed down.' It was worse five months later when I was asked if I was pregnant again."

The HELLO! Online blogger, 31, has recently published a book, entitled "Happy Mum, Happy Baby", in which she discusses her experiences with motherhood.

At the time of the incident, Giovanna - who is also the proud mum to adorable two-year-old Buzz - defiantly shared an Instagram photo, saying she was thankful for her bump, a "miracle worker" that has filled her world with "even more love and light".

She wrote in the caption: "A few days ago I had a near stranger point at my stomach, laugh and say 'Oh look, Mummy's still got her tummy'. This was eleven days after giving birth. I was so shocked I laughed. But the words have stuck with me. Obviously. It wasn't left there either as there was another comment about my face 'slimming down'."

Giovanna added that she had been "baffled" as to why the stranger felt the need to comment on her bump, saying: "Yes, I still have a bump. But that bump kept my little baby boy safe for a whole nine months. That bump has filled my world with even more love and light than I knew possible. That bump is a miracle worker… My bump will slowly go over time, but I'll never stop being thankful to it and my body for everything it's given me."

The bubbly star welcomed her second son with husband Tom in February. The married couple often take to their respective social media sites to share cute snaps of their young family.
