It’s all over for Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey. The former Glee actress has filed for divorce after two years of marriage. In a joint statement, the former couple confirmed the news, saying: "After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time."

According to court documents seen by TMZ, Naya filed for divorce on 15 November, and has requested primary access of the couple's 14-month-old son Josey, with visitation rights for Ryan.

Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey have split after two years of marriage

Naya, 29, and Ryan, 33, tied the knot in July 2014 – on the same date she had been due to marry her ex-fiancé Big Sean. Naya and Ryan married just three months after her split from the rapper, and they welcomed little Josey in September 2015.

"The media eschewed it into this whole thing," Naya told People after being accused of "switching grooms". In reality, the pair had been friends for a number of years, and had previously dated during her early days on Glee back in 2010.

In her memoir, Sorry Not Sorry, Naya revealed that she had discovered she was pregnant a few weeks about the couple's initial split, and decided to terminate the pregnancy without Ryan's knowledge. The pair were not in contact until Ryan reached out to Naya to offer his condolences about her broken engagement.

"When I made that decision, I made it by myself, as I feel is the case for a lot of women, and I did not share it with Ryan at the time," Naya said during an appearance on The Real in September. "By the time we sort of reconnected, I was like, 'Gosh, there's a reason why you keep coming back in my life and we keep coming back together.' It was like, 'I have to tell you something.'"

She continued: "He said, 'Uh you know, in the short time that we dated, I wish that I could have done something to make you feel like you could have trusted me with that information, because I would have loved to have been there with you.'

"I think it was the kindest and best thing that any man could have ever said in that situation. It just made me love him that much more, so I thank him for that."
