They are two of the world's most loved pop stars, so it was a wonderful treat to see Beyonce show her support to Mariah Carey at her All I Want for Christmas Is You concert in New York, on Sunday night. The two singing sensations appeared to be in great spirits as they posed for a backstage picture with their children.

Mariah, 46, took to her social media sites to share a snap, which was captioned: "Backstage at Christmas time with our beautiful children." The star, who was joined by her five-year-old twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, looked typically glamourous in a plunging silver sequin gown, while Beyonce kept things chic in an all-black ensemble. Beyonce's four-year-old Blue Ivy - who was with a friend - looked cute as she posed with a large elaborate fan.

Earlier on in the evening, Mariah posted another snap with the mother-of-one where she declared her love and admiration for her. She wrote, "love you @beyonce thank you sooooo much for coming out tonight!"

It's been a busy few weeks for Mariah thanks to her holiday concert. She also recently ended her relationship with Australian billionaire James Packer. And while she leads a busy life, the singer is very much the doting mother to her twins, who she shares with ex-husband Nick Canon.

The former couple were married for six years, before filing for divorce in 2014. Still on good terms, they make sure their kids always come first, with Nick saying on the Ellen DeGeneres show last year: "We'll always be a family. We make the kids the number one priority, for them to see their parents together and for everybody to get along and have a good time."
