Although fans were initially unsure as to why the television personality was in hospital, John later revealed on Wednesday that he was left "bruised" after falling down. Thanking his followers for their well wishes, he tweeted: "Thank you all for your kind wishes. I really am ok but a massive thank you to St. Mary's & the NHS for everything #stmaryshospitalpaddington. I really am ok everyone! Thank you, just took a tumble whilst out riding, & posted photo to thank the Docs , nurses and all at St Mary's."

John separated from his former wife Jessica, the mother of his two children, in 2011 and was granted a divorce three years later. Shortly after John and Jessica went their separate ways, Lisa divorced her husband, and he moved out of the London home they shared.

"John and I were friends," Lisa told the Daily Mail in 2013. "Neither of us thought of it as anything else until... I don't know how things change, but something does.” She added: "He asked me on a date. We went out for dinner. Then it was slightly different. I'm really, really happy. John and I are having such a nice time but we're taking things slowly. There are lots of other people to consider."
