Being married to a celebrity hasn’t negatively affected Amal Clooney’s career, in fact the human rights attorney views fame as “a really good thing.” George Clooney’s wife opened up about her work has benefited from her high-profile marriage in a new interview on BBC News at Six. The 39-year-old explained, "I mean, there's lot of my work that takes place behind closed doors that is not ever seen."

Amal continued, ”I think if there are more people who now understand what's happening about the Yazidis and ISIS, and if there can be some action that results from that, that can help those clients, then I think it's a really good thing to give that case the extra publicity that it may get."
The lawyer, who is currently expecting twins, recently took on ISIS on behalf of her client, Nadia Murad, a sex trafficking victim. While the couple await the arrival of their bundles of joy, George, 55, admitted that he and his human rights lawyer wife are being more cautious where they travel these days. “We decided to be much more responsible, to avoid the danger,” the Hollywood star told the Paris Match. “I won’t go to South Sudan any more or the Congo, Amal will no longer go to Iraq and she’ll avoid places where she knows she isn’t welcome.”

At the time, the Oscar winner also admitted to the French outlet that he and his wife do not know the gender of their babies, but that he is excited about becoming a first-time father. “How can we not be anxious about this immense responsibility?” George confessed. “Bringing a child into this world … even two! We are very happy, very excited, but also a bit nervous, it’s normal.”
Amal made her red carpet bump debut last month at the Cesar Awards in Paris. The mom-to-be glowed wearing a strapless white Versace gown that featured a feathered ombre skirt. George, who was honored with a career award at the event, praised his wife in his speech saying, “To my wife Amal, there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not proud to be your husband. And I am excited about the years to come, and particularly the months to come. I love you very much.”
