Jeff Brazier has taken to Twitter to reveal his sons' pain at having to deal with Mother's Day and the anniversary of their mother Jade Goody's death in the same week. The 37-year-old told his followers that the past few days were a "cruel blow" for his boys, Bobby, 13, and Freddie, 12. "Glad last week's over. I try & reduce the impact but having Jades anniversary & Mother's Day in the same week is a cruel blow for the boys," he shared.
Followers were quick to sympathise, with one writing: "@JeffBrazier I felt the burden ease as well today. It can be a tough day for a lot of people. You're doing a great job with those boys though." Another added: "You're an incredible dad! The boys are such lovely young lads and Jade will be so proud." One fan remarked: "Those poor boys, Jade was a beautiful lady inside & out! Everything she did was for your boys! You are doing an amazing job."
It has been eight years since Big Brother star Jade lost her fight with cancer in March 2009. Among those remembering the reality star on her anniversary was Jack Tweed, who shared a heartfelt tribute to his late wife on Instagram. Jack, who married Jade just a few weeks before her death, took to social media to share a photo of the pair together on the red carpet, smiling for the cameras. He wrote: "5th June, 1981 – 22nd March 2009. #RememberJade #rip #smeartest."
Meanwhile, TV presenter Jeff has been bringing up his children as a single parent since his ex-girlfriend's death. He has since found love again with current partner Kate Dwyer, who now lives in the family home. At the moment, Jeff is writing a survival guide to help bereaved children deal with their grief. He said: "About to write the next chapter of my book #GuideToSurvivingGrief 'What bereaved children want/need from a step-parent' Any views/experience on this please."
