George Clooney has given fans an update on his wife Amal's pregnancy progress, revealing things are going smoothly at this stage. Speaking to Extra at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday, the Hollywood star praised the expectant mother as they prepare to become first-time parents later this year. He said: "She is doing really great, she is amazing. I don't have anything to do. There is nothing I can do to help, but make tea and stuff."
Earlier this year, the couple confirmed they are expecting twins - the first children for the American star and international human rights lawyer Amal. Feeling confident about becoming a father, the 55-year-old actor added: "I know swaddling. I know what I'm in for." George also joked that Amal, 39, has already vetoed two names. "My wife says I can't name them Casa and Amigos. That's the one thing I'm not allowed to do," he revealed to ET, in reference to his Casamigos tequila brand which he shares with close friend Rande Gerber.

Sharing his reluctance to name the kids before meeting them, he explained: "Because I've had friends pick out names around their parents and then it becomes... whatever name you pick they're like, 'Oh, I don't like that. That guy's a prime minister… Can't name her Susan. You remember your Aunt Susan?'" It is thought that George and Amal's babies are due in June. Their pregnancy was first revealed by friend Julie Chen, who announced the news on The Talk. "Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins," she confirmed. "Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney."

George and Amal tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy in September 2014 after a whirlwind romance. A year after the marriage, the actor spoke to CBS This Morning's Charlie Rose about his future as a father. "I mean, I've thought about it," he shared. "I've been asked about it a lot lately because I've gotten married and I'm doing a movie with kids in it. You should see how different, how creative the way they ask me!"
