Celebrities spread royal baby fever on Twitter

The day the world has been waiting for has arrived. Pregnant Kate Middleton was admitted to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington just before six o'clock on Monday morning, meaning the royal baby is officially on its way.Naturally, stars have already begun to take to social media network Twitter in great anticipation of the arrival of Britain's future monarch, which could come today.Kelly Osbourne captured the essence of the nation's feeling in her tweet: "Its all so exciting The Royal Baby is on the way!", as did Cheryl Cole – "I'm so excited for the royal baby!! ????". 

British journalist and TV presenter Piers Morgan joined the guessing game by sharing his royal baby prediction with Twitter fans. "PREDICTION: A boy, called George, weighing 8lbs 2oz." Made In Chelsea's Alexandra Felstead also thinks William and Kate's first baby will be a boy: "The waiting game! Girl or boy? ... I'm thinking it's going to be a Boy! X". Should the baby be a girl, she has come up with a name: "Or - if it's a girl, Alexandra!"Co-star Louise Thompson gave her opinion: "Baby verdicts. I reckon girl. Names Diana/Victoria/Elizabeth?"A man who can empathise with first-time father-to-be Prince William is Ben Fogle. The 39-year-old adventurer is also waiting for a baby to arrive – that of his younger sister Tamara, who is also currently in the Lindo Wing.The dad-of-two, who recently wrote about the 'magical time' of having a baby on The Telegraph, tweeted: "Like buses. You wait for ages and then two come along at the same time.......#theotherbaby".

Cat Deeley joined in on the fun: "Exciting, #RoyalBaby on the way xxxx", along with TOWIE's Billie Faiers: "Woohoo the royal baby is on its way !! ???? xxx".The Prime Minister has shown that over at Number Ten everyone is thinking of the royal baby too. "A very exciting occasion" David said, and, "everyone's hoping for the best."

Singer-songwriter Katie Waissel ‏wrote, "Can't believe the #royalbaby is on the way! How exciting!! Im on full #babywatch today! Muzeltov!", while TV presenter Katy Hill shared her royal baby fever with: "Why am I properly #excited about a baby I will probably never meet? I guess it's just new life = #EXCITING! #RoyalBaby"."Baby HRH is on it's way - how exciting!" wrote singer Rachel Stevens.

The Duchess is safely inside the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's in the early stages of labour, accompanied by her husband Prince William.If born on Monday, the royal baby will share its birthday with Selena Gomez, Ben Foden, Rhys Ifans, Willem Dafoe, Terence Stamp and Bonnie Langford.
