Clint Eastwood's wife Dina Eastwood has filed for divorce after 17 years.

She is seeking spousal support and full physical custody of the couple’s 16-year-old daughter Morgan.

Her filing states that she and Clint, 83, have a prenuptial agreement but that property rights are still "to be determined." She has also asked that her husband take care of her attorney's fees.

The Oscar winner is said to have been living apart from his wife for quite some time – they have not been pictured publicly together since 2011 and, according to a source, the two actually split in June 2012.

"Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago," a source told Us Weekly at the time, noting that the separation was "amicable".

Reports suggest the marriage suffered after Dina, 48, stepped into the spotlight when she invited cameras into the family home for her own reality show, Mrs Eastwood & Company, in 2012.

The E! reality series, which may have caused problems due to the Clint’s private nature, also starred the couple's daughter Morgan and Francesca, 19, Clint's daughter from a previous relationship.

The show – which ran for one season in 2012 – followed the lives of the Eastwoods in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, where Clint was mayor from 1986 to 1988.This was Clint's second marriage. The Million Dollar Baby actor married his first wife Maggie Johnson in 1953, six months after they met on a blind date.

The couple had a daughter, Alison, and a son, Kyle. Clint has five more children from other relationships.
