Happy birthday, Tom Daley! As the Olympic medal winner celebrates turning 20, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Taurian Tom, and you.

It is not just the latest gadgets that keep requiring us to learn how to operate new controls. New social circumstances also oblige us to review our mechanisms of self-expression and even the words we traditionally use. As our language evolves, things that were once seemingly quite acceptable to say can soon make us sound woefully old-fashioned or even bigoted and ignorant. You now have a chance to make a change; but you shouldn't see it as a chore. You can gain greatly from updating an idea.

Read your horoscope for today.

Tom Daley came to national attention at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he was Britain's youngest competitor.

The young diver was only 14 at the time but he had already made an impression in the diving world, when at the age of 12 he was given special dispensation to compete in the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival where the usual minimum age is 15.

He went on to win silver with his partner in the 10-metre synchronised-diving final before later that year going on to win the senior platform title at the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) National Championships, the national championship for British divers.

At the British Championships in 2008 he became the youngest winner of the senior British 10-metre title and went on to qualify for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

Although Tom did not win a medal in 2008 he was given the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Young Personality award and began to be considered a main challenger for an Olympic medal in 2012.

In July 2011, Daley took the first dive in London's newly built Olympic Park Aquatics Centre marking the one year countdown until the games begin.

During the 2012 London Olympics Tom was the subject of social media abuse, but refused to let it affect his game.

On the last day of the competition he competed in the 10-metre men's platform event where it seemed Tom's fame would be his downfall - a flurry of flashes from the cameras as he took his final dive meant he stumbled, yet a protest to the referees provided him with a second chance where he scored enough points to take third place.

Tom has embraced the media side of becoming a sports personality and in 2013 he presented ITV show Splash! and in 2014 began a six-part series called Tom Daley Goes Global.

Late in 2013 Tom came out as gay in a YouTube video to his millions of fans, and announced he had been in a relationship with a man since early that year.
