By 2010 Team GB were allowed to send two skeleton athletes to the Vancouver Winter Olympics, and Amy soon found herself on the podium accepting a gold medal, after winning by more than half a second.

Her win made her the first British female individual Winter Olympic gold medallist since 1952.In 2012 Amy decided to retire from skeleton, and moved on to presenting Ski Sunday for the BBC. She now hosts The Gadget Show on Channel 5. In July 2014 she announced she was engaged to her partner of 12 weeks, Craig Ham. In an exclusive interview with HELLO!, Amy said: "I can't wait to start a family, if I'm lucky to have children.
