Angelina Jolie has revealed that marriage to her long-term partner Brad Pitt "does feel different", and that the humanitarian ambassador is "open" to stepping up her passion to a career in politics. And she and Brad are enjoying life as a married couple in true Jolie-Pitt style – on a working honeymoon, as the duo work side-by-side on By The Sea, which Angelina is herself directing. The film is the newlyweds' first collaboration since the 2005 film that brought them together, Mr & Mrs Smith.

But Angelina, whose hugely successful acting career includes Oscar wins and a foray into directing, admitted that she could leave the film set in order to pursue a career in politics – if her Hollywood career didn't get in her way. "When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," the Maleficent star said.

"But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful – I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible. "The mother-of-six, who is known for her extensive humanitarian efforts and as a prominent United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, then stated that she is "open" to the idea.
