Niall Horan was in good spirits as he watched Andy Murray get through to the semi-finals at the Australian Open on Tuesday. The 21-year-old joined friends to watch the clash between Andy Murray and Australia's Nick Kyrgios at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park.

The One Direction star is currently enjoying a break before he embarks on another world tour with the band in February, and appeared to get well and truly into the spirit of the game. He was seen gripping his face and looking tense at crucial points during the match, which Andy later won.

Niall seems to be enjoying his time in Australia, and joined in celebrations for Australia Day on Monday. The singer tweeted a message to his 21 million followers, hinting that he was enjoying a barbeque for the national holiday.

"Happy straya day !! Enjoy the snags and stubbies ! #straya #bbq #beer," he wrote.

Andy's fiancée Kim Sears also showed her support in the crowd at the tennis match on Tuesday and appeared visibly thrilled as her husband-to-be stormed to victory.

The 27-year-old looked smart and stylish in a black blazer and jumper layered over a long sleeved white shirt. Her outfit was also accessorised with the huge diamond engagement ring she has been wearing after Andy's proposal in November.

Andy continued his winning streak as he beat his teenage opponent in three sets and will now go on to play in the semi-finals.

The crucial match came just two days after the Scotsman defeated one of his trickiest opponents, Grigor Dimitrov, in the competition. The 27-year-old faced another ordeal following the game as he was quizzed about whether he planned to wear a kilt for his wedding, and what, if anything, would be under it.

"Yes obviously, proper kilt," he said. Keen to make a quick exit, he added: "I've got a match to play in a couple of days, can I go now?"
