If Friday the 13th deserved its reputation, supermarkets would have long since started to cash in on this. They would put a special offer on salt, so that folk could stock up with plenty to throw over their shoulder should the need to avert an evil spirit arise. And pet breeders would hire out black cats for the day, so that those who were worried could ensure quick and easy contact with a creature renowned for restoring good fortune. But the only precaution you need to take today, involves remembering to be true to yourself. Click here to read your horoscope

Born in the Midlands town of Stoke in 1974, Robbie Williams is one of the biggest male singers to come out of Britain. He's sold nearly 50 million records worldwide - more than any other solo British artist - and the single that launched him on the road to solo megastardom, Angels, is still one of the most popular songs of all time.

For many though, Robbie will always be known for his membership in one of Britain's most beloved boy bands - Take That. His first appearance on the pop scene came in 1990 with the band, where the role of the "cheeky one" fell to 16-year-old Robbie.

Despite hits such as Back For Good, Relight My Fire and Could It Be Magic, and earnings of £80 million for their label RCA under their belts, Robbie left the band in July 1995.

Just a year later Robbie released his first single, a cover version of George Michael's Freedom, which was not well received, but when he returned a year later with the song Old Before I Die, it looked as though the handsome entertainer was back at his best.

Since then, his popularity has grown and grown, as has his stature as a songwriter. He and his musical partner Guy Chambers picked up two gongs, for Angels, at the UK's Ivor Novello awards and, thanks to three million-selling albums, have become the most sought-after musicians in London.

In 2002 Robbie made an attempt to crack into the American music industry. However, the talented singer's move across the pond was been blighted by bouts of depression and insecurity, and while his former Take That bandmates reunited with phenomenal success, Robbie checked into rehab on his 33rd birthday.

After recovering successfully, in 2010 the news many fans had been waiting for was announced. Robbie was joining up with his old band mates to stage a Take That reunion - a statement from the boys read: "The rumours are true... Take That: the original line-up, have written and recorded a new album for release later this year".

Voted the sexiest man alive by a women's magazine in 2001, Robbie has never been short of arm-candy in the past. A long romance (and short-lived engagement) with All Saints singer Nicole Appleton was followed by a rumoured association with Geri Halliwell and a ten month relationship with model Rachel Hunter.

In 2009 he found love with Ayda Field, and in August 2010 the pair wed at their Beverly Hills mansion, with Robbie telling HELLO! he was "the happiest man on earth" after tying the knot.

In 2012 Robbie and Ayda welcomed their first child, a daughter called Theodora - who they affectionately call Teddy - and in October 2014, the couple announced the birth of their second child, a little boy, which they named Charlton Valentine.
