Patsy also tells HELLO! how she underwent a hysterectomy following a petrifying cancer scare which brought back memories of her late mother, who passed away when the actress was 23. Speaking about the operation, she explained: "I don't feel less of a woman because of the hysterectomy. I feel more feminine somehow. And I've always known from what my mum went through that without your health, you have nothing. "When you've faced your own mortality, living life to the full is top of your list. I've never been worried about getting older and joke that I’ve been looking forward to my next decade for the past five years." The former Emmerdale star also tells the magazine how she has finally found peace after a few years of turmoil.
