Noelle Reno has spoken about Scot Young's "unexpected suicide"

"My 12th and final trip of #12Countries12Months was meant to be completed with a weekend in Belgium accompanied by 3 of my most favourite girlfriends," she wrote. "Four days before we were to depart Waterloo to Brussels somebody very close to me, named Scot Young, unexpectedly committed suicide. "Scot and I had recently broken up after five and a half years of being together, most of which we were engaged. "Noelle then added: "One thing I know in the deepest depths of my soul, where all true wisdom resides, is that #12Countries12Months prepared me for this loss.

Noelle confirmed she and Scot had earlier ended their relationship

"Over the year I had traveled thousands of miles to discover new places and things only to truly discover myself. The incredible evolution I underwent has shaped me in to an almost recognizably conscious, empathetic, joyful person from where I started. The greatest journey any human take is that 13 inches from your head to heart. "Circumstances may have prevented me from exactly what I set out but the journey, rather the path, was perfectly organised to deliver me to exactly where I needed to be. "I look forward to exploring this new journey in more depth as I come in to a new stage in my life. Hopefully my postings will be of service to someone. "In December, one week after 52-year-old Scot fell to his death, Noelle spoke for the first time about her devastation. "I am distraught by the sudden loss of my best friend and ask that you give me the respect and privacy I need to grieve in peace," she said in a short statement.
