Katherine Jenkins talks about 'exciting' pregnancy as she sings for Prince William

Katherine Jenkins looked radiant as she arrived on the arm of her husband Andrew Levitas to attend a royal charity dinner at Windsor Castle. The star, who is expecting her first baby, showed off her blossoming bump in a beautiful navy blue gown and spoke of her joy at becoming a mummy, describing it as an "incredibly exciting time".

The Welsh beauty made the comments as she attended a special reception and dinner hosted by Prince William on Thursday evening.

Katherine, 34, has performed for members of the royal family on a number of occasions, but this time was able to introduce her American husband to the Prince. Katherine and Andrew looked delighted as they spent time talking to new dad-of-two William, as he welcomed guests to the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Tusk Trust.The Welsh mezzo-soprano, who gave a stunning performance at the event, said the cause was one close to her and Andrew's hearts. "My husband and I are very much into conservation," Katherine revealed. "I have recently been to South Africa where I saw the rhinos and it was a life-changing experience – to see the whole team and what goes into protecting just one animal.

"It is something I feel incredibly passionate about and we should all be taking responsibility for. "Also attending the Tusk Trust dinner, which was held in the magnificent St George's Hall, were comedian Rory Bremner, actor Martin Clunes and Marina and Ben Fogle – a good friend of William's.In an impassioned speech, the Prince told his guests that the charity is as much about helping "the great charismatic animals that roam Africa, the elephants, rhino, lions and so on…" as it is "the people of Africa who must be cared for too"."I am hugely proud to be Royal Patron of Tusk Trust – a position I've now had for ten years – longer than any other position I've held bar one," he said, praising the charity, led by CEO Charlie Mayhew, for raising "£25million in 25 years in support of over 100 projects, protecting 36 different endangered and critically endangered species".

With guests from Tusk USA and around the world, William said he hoped for increased fundraising at the birthday bash. Special wines had been chosen "that encourage generous donations", he joked.
