Chloe Green has defended her friend Kate Moss following a recent incident which saw her escorted from a flight for being disruptive. The Topshop heiress, who has travelled with Kate in the past, admitted that while the model can be "excitable", it is in a playful way.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, Chloe confessed: "I really think they handled it badly as an airline. I've travelled with Kate a few times and although she can be quite loud and excitable, it’s always in a playful way."

The 23-year-old, who is the daughter of Topshop boss Philip Green, said she believed the incident was exaggerated because Kate was involved.

"Had it been any other passenger it would've been a non-story," she explained. "The whole issue was blown out of proportion and people need to remember that when you're a celebrity you're also a target. People will always try to embellish it."

Kate was escorted off an easyJet plane on her way back from Turkey after allegedly being disruptive. Police at Luton Airport confirmed that officers attended to assist with escorting a passenger, but said that no one was arrested following the incident.

The supermodel has stayed quiet about the matter, staying true to her personal mantra: "never complain, never explain".

Kate had been enjoying a glamorous getaway in Turkey as part of an early celebration for friend Sadie Frost's 50th birthday party. The 41-year-old joined a group that included Tony award-winning actress Francess Ruffelles, party planner extraordinaire Fran Cutler and Sadie's business partner Jemima French who collaborates with Sadie on their eponymous fashion label FrostFrench.

Rather than indulge in any high jinks, the former Primrose Hill set spent the time meditating, getting up early for morning yoga practice and enjoying water sports, as well as soaking up the sun as they sunbathed by the Aegan sea.
