Caitlyn Jenner delighted fans with a surprise appearance at Boy George's concert

The star looked effortlessly cool in a pale grey dress and black leather jacket as she stepped out to introduce the show. According to Entertainment Tonight the crowds went wild as they cheered and gave the Keeping up with the Kardashians star a warm welcome.

"Caitlyn Jenner is in the house for her first Boy George concert!" she announced. "This is going to be a good group. Thank you so much. Enough about me. Thank you for being here tonight. This is so much fun for me. Let's hear it here at the Greek Theatre for Boy George! Let's get it going!"

Boy George himself later thanked the former Olympian for introducing his show, and revealed that he knew her surprise appearance would be celebrated.

"I expected a standing ovation for her and I wasn't disappointed," he said. "We need to celebrate the kinds of changes that are happening."

There's no doubt that Caitlyn has been making waves in the industry with inspiring speech at the ESPYs, where she picked up the Arthur Ashe Courage award following the bravery she has shown going through her transition in the public eye.

Writing on her official website about her big night, Caitlyn revealed that she was incredibly nervous about accepting the award in front of such a huge audience, particularly because of her dyslexia.

"As a dyslexic kid, my biggest fear in life was to go in front of the class and read because I just wasn't very good at it – and that stays with you through your whole life," she wrote, adding that she "practiced, and practiced, and practiced and practiced" to make sure she didn't make any mistakes.

Caitlyn also said one of the most difficult parts of the evening was seeing her family sitting in the audience. Children Burt, Brandon, Brody, Cassandra, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were all present, as were Caitlyn's step-daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian and her mother Esther Jenner.

"The toughest part in my speech was my kids," Caitlyn explained. "It was hard to look over there and see all of my children. As I said in the speech, I don't want to hurt anybody. I just want to be myself. I barely got through that."
