Kim Kardashian and Kanye West try to keep North asleep amid paparazzi frenzy

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West pleaded with photographers to be quiet as they carried their daughter North through LAX airport on Saturday. The two-year-old was sound asleep in her mum's arms as they made their way through the awaiting paparazzi – and Kim was keen to keep it that way.

The 34-year-old was pictured placing one finger to her lips as she warned the photographers not to wake the toddler, who was dressed up in a black faux fur jacket and jeans. Kim passed North across to doting dad Kanye along with her beloved Minnie Mouse toy as they tried to keep her asleep throughout the paparazzi frenzy.

Kim and Kanye were travelling to New York for the wedding of music executive Steve Soute in New York on Sunday. The mum-to-be showed off her growing baby bump in a black caped Valentino gown, while Kanye looked dapper in a black tuxedo.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim shared a photo of herself and Kanye all dressed up on Instagram, writing: "What a beautiful wedding! Last photo before we checked in our phones. Love to Mr. & Mrs. Steve Stoute."

They were not the only stars to attend the nuptials; Beyoncé Knowles, Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Swiss Beatz are also believed to have joined the celebrations in New York.

The couple's loved up appearance in the city comes just days after Kanye announced his intention to run for president in 2020 as he accepted his lifetime achievement award at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The 38-year-old said: "If my grandfather were here right now, he would not let me back down. I don't know what I stand to lose after this. It don't matter, though, because it ain't about me, it's about ideas, bro.

"New ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."
