Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gave shoppers a sweet surprise when she handed out free chocolate bars in her native Newcastle. The pop star travelled back up north to make appearances at three bakery stores and dish out the treats to unsuspecting customers.
Cheryl tempted locals with samples of the new limited edition Belgian Chocolate Crunch Bar, which she described as her take on Rocky Road. She created the bars to raise money for her new charity venture, Cheryl's Trust.
"Today has been a really fun way to celebrate the launch of the limited edition Belgian Chocolate Crunch bar with Greggs," said the singer.

"I've loved hearing firsthand what people think of the bar! It's fantastic to have people supporting The Trust and helping give back to the North East."
Cheryl, who hails from Newcastle Upon Tyne, set up Cheryl's Trust in January of this year. The organisation has partnered with The Prince's Trust to help fund a new state-of-the-art centre in Newcastle, which will help almost 4,000 vulnerable young people to turn their lives around.
A total of 5p from each chocolate bar will be donated to Cheryl's charity, and the bars will be sold in Greggs for eight weeks.
The pop star was joined by fellow Geordies Ant and Dec
During her trip up north Cheryl was reunited with fellow Geordies Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – better known as Ant and Dec. The 32-year-old singer shared a photo on Instagram of the trio and a local woman posing in the streets of their hometown.
"Me and my two faves @antanddecofficial and a lovely lady we met on the street in Newcastle today," the X Factor judge wrote.
Speaking to The Chronicle about her chocolate-filled day, Cheryl said that it was "lovely" to be home and chatting to locals.
"I love Rocky Road and it's my take on a Rocky Road," said Cheryl of her new chocolate bar
"I was handing out chocolates to people who were trying to tell us they were on a diet and five seconds later they were eating my chocolate bar," she said. "They are really enjoying it which is great. I went to one guy and asked if he would like to try one and he told me he had already had two, which I was really pleased about."
Explaining her decision to partner with Greggs, Cheryl added: "I was born in the North East, that's all we ate a lot of the time, pasties.
"Initially I wanted to do something sweet, more like a doughnut or muffin, but after going backwards and forwards we settled on this Belgian Chocolate Crunch because everyone loves a bit of chocolate and Belgian chocolate is delicious. I love Rocky Road and it's my take on a Rocky Road."
