"You were talking deep like it was mad love to you/ You wanted my heart, but I just liked your tattoos."Similarly Ed sings about a tryst in a hotel on Don't, and, of course, is known for having a number of tattoos. His lyrics include "don't mess with my love", while Ellie's feature: "You don't mess with love, you mess with the truth."Saying that I hurt you but I still don't get it/ You didn't love me, no, not really. "Despite the speculation, 28-year-old Ellie, who is now dating McBusted's Dougie Poynter, has denied the track is about Ed. "I'm sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone – it's not, it's like a myth," she told MTV on Thursday.

The singer has denied claims that the track was written about Ed Sheeran

She added, referencing Dougie: "I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend has tattoos… but I don't mind. People can read into it however they want. It's fun to do that. I would do that too."On My Mind is the first single from Ellie's third album, Delirium. She said the track – produced by Max Martin - was actually a collaborative effort. "I probably walked into the studio and I was like, 'I have this person on my mind,' and then another writer is like, 'I have this person on my mind,' and we kind of formed the song out of all our different experiences, and I've never really done that before," Ellie added. "That's the beauty of song writing: It doesn't have rules. It doesn't have to be about one person or one subject."
