Frank Lampard had his family by his side as he received his OBE on Tuesday. The 37-year-old was joined by fiancée Christine Bleakley and his daughters Luna, ten, and Isla, eight, for the investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Looking dapper in a midnight blue three-piece suit, Frank was presented with his OBE for services to football by Prince William. His wife-to-be Christine looked sophisticated in a navy blue fitted dress and statement hat, and proudly watched on alongside Frank's two daughters as he received the honour.

The television presenter couldn't resist capturing the special moment for herself, and was pictured taking a photo of Frank showing off his OBE on her phone after the ceremony.

Frank was once Chelsea's all-time leading goal scorer and went on to play for England over 100 times before moving to America to play for New York City FC. Speaking to Sky Sports News about the recognition for his football career, Frank said it was a "very proud day".

"It's right up there with my achievements on the pitch with Chelsea," Frank said. "A very proud day for myself and my family. It was surreal. We flew back from New York last night. I was very excited, have never been to the Palace before."

Frank and Christine began dating in October 2009, with the couple announcing their engagement in June 2011. While the high-profile pair have enjoyed a long engagement, Frank revealed earlier this year that he is "very ready" to marry the television presenter.

"We are going to do a small and pretty intimate wedding, not a surprise thing," Frank told The Sun. "We like our privacy."

Frank was not the only big name to be honoured by Prince William during Tuesday's ceremony; 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and Paddington Bear creator Michael Bond were both awarded CBEs.
