They are yet to publicly comment on their relationship, but Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall seemed to confirm that they are an item at the Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday evening. The new couple walked the red carpet hand-in-hand and looked completely blissful in each other's company.

Rupert, 84, and Jerry, 59, matched in all black. The American former model opted for a timeless sequinned gown that featured a side split and sheer panels.

The age-defying blonde beamed for the cameras, while Rupert wrapped a protective arm around his new girlfriend.

The couple, who are said to have been introduced by a mutual friend in Australia, turned the date night into a family affair. Rupert's 44-year-old son Lachlan and his wife Sarah made up the party, with Sarah lighting up the red carpet in a radiant gown.

Rupert and Jerry were most recently pictured in October at the Rugby World Cup final. The media tycoon was seen kissing his new love interest on the cheek while she giggled away.

It seems the pair have enjoyed a string of dates around the world, with another taking place in New York City. Rupert, who ended his marriage to third wife Wendi Deng in 2013, and Jerry stepped out to watch Broadway musical Hamilton.

Jerry was formerly with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger for 23 years. The two split due to the singer's infidelities but remain good friends and co-parent their four children together.

Speaking exclusively about her ex-husband to HELLO! magazine in 2014, Jerry commented: "I genuinely like him – he's funny, he's clever, he tries his best and he is also a great father. I think I chose really well – my children are smart, beautiful and talented, so I feel no regrets."

"But he's not the sort of person I want to spend my old age with," added Jerry, who was previously in a relationship with scientist Armand Leroi. "Life changes, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Why shouldn't life change? Move on."
