David Beckham has taken his children to enjoy their half term holidays abroad while wife Victoria works on her fashion line in Hong Kong. The family, who often spend their holidays in California, flew into LAX airport on Thursday night.

The retired footballer looked like his usual stylish self, sporting sunglasses and a beanie hat as he carried his four-year-old daughter to the car. Harper, who was still asleep from the plane ride, was accompanied by her brothers Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 11.

Cruz was the very image of his dad as he wore a grey beanie hat to match his dad's along with a grey hoody and backpack, while Brooklyn lagged behind holding a skateboard in a camouflage jacket and black Adidas cap.

The doting dad seemed ready for a break with his family after strongly defending Brooklyn earlier this week, after the announcement that the 17-year-old would shoot Burberry's latest campaign was met with criticism.

Addressing those who accused Brooklyn of only being chosen to shoot the campaign because of who his parents are, David told GQ US that he believed his son has genuine talent. He said: "We've always protected our children but we've always been honest with them, as well, 'There's going to be things said about you, about us, that aren't true'.

"We know he'll have opportunities because of us. But he's making opportunities for himself, too. So far we've been very lucky that he's found a passion. Whether people believe it or not, he's got genuine talent. He's got a great eye, and he's proven that in the images he's taken."
