Michelle Keegan turned 29 on Friday, and her husband Mark Wright went out of his way to make sure she felt special on her birthday. The Take Me Out: The Gossip presenter posted a sweet message to his wife on social media, alongside some of his favourite photos from their wedding.

Sharing a collage of four photos of himself and Michelle on Instagram, Mark wrote: "Happy birthday to my best friend, partner in crime and love of my life……. My wife @michkeegan."

Two of the images showed Mark and Michelle on their wedding day in May 2015, with the groom seen carrying his bride across the dancefloor, while another shows the pair holding hands on what appears to be a fun night out.

Unsurprisingly the heartfelt message proved popular with the Mark and Michelle's fans, who commented that they make the "perfect couple".

Michelle's birthday celebrations come just a week after the pair shared another special occasion – their first wedding anniversary. The couple celebrated early by heading to the exclusive Pennyhill Park in Surrey, where they made the most of some quality time together.

Michelle turns 29 on Friday

Once again Mark posted a loving message to mark the occasion, writing: "Incredible anniversary weekend. The most perfect time in the most perfect place with the most perfect person…."

Mark had surprised Michelle with the anniversary getaway, and it was well received by the actress, who shared photos from the trip in her blog for HELLO! Online.

"Mark surprised me with a trip to the elegant and plush Pennyhill Park Spa which is in Surrey," Michelle wrote. "We had a wonderful and special time. It's a great place to go and relax."

It's an exciting time for the couple. Mark recently revealed that his children's show The Dengineers is set to air in America, meaning he could be on the road to success in the States. Meanwhile Michelle is continuing to film BBC drama Our Girl, and said she is having an "amazing time" working on the show.
