Tess Daly supported Wilnelia Forsyth's candle launch

Tess has been friends with Wilnelia for some time as she co-hosted Strictly Come Dancing with Sir Bruce for ten years, and appeared thrilled to lend her support to the model's new venture.

Wilnelia officially launched the candles at Fortnum and Mason on Saturday, and revealed just how proud her husband was of her for the new collection. Sir Bruce was unable to attend as he is still recovering from keyhole surgery following a fall in October, but gave his wife a card to wish her good luck for the launch.

"This morning he gave me a beautiful card to wish me good luck. It said 'Good luck, have a wonderful time, I'm so proud of you' – all those lovely things," Wilnelia told Press Association.

The former Miss World also opened up about Bruce's recovery following surgery on an abdominal aortic aneurysm in November.

"He's doing much better. But he's still convalescing," the 58-year-old said. "It was a big, big operation."

The 88-year-old was recently too unwell to attend the funeral of his close friend Ronnie Corbett, with his loyal wife attending on his behalf. Nonetheless she is still positive he will make a full recovery, explaining: "It's taking much longer than we expected, but we're positive that he can recuperate 100 percent."
