With six days to go before England's next Euros fixture, Wayne Rooney enjoyed a family day with wife Coleen and their three sons on Tuesday. Coleen uploaded a very sweet snapshot showing her husband posing with Kai, six, three-year-old Klay and five-month-old Kit. "My boys!!! Family day with Daddy!!!," she captioned the photo.

Doting wife Coleen has been travelling around France supporting her husband as he captains the national team, and she was in the crowd again on Monday to watch England take on Slovakia in Saint-Etienne.

The 30-year-old was joined by eldest son Kai, who proudly wore a red England top to cheer on his daddy, and her dad Tony McLoughlin for the match. She happily mingled with fans inside the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, taking selfies with fellow supporters, and was seen cheering the England side on once the game got underway.

The mum-of-three had to seek permission to take Kai out of school to watch his father play in the Euros – and his private school agreed, so long as he completed homework while he was abroad. "She requested permission from the head and it was granted – with the provision that Kai was set some work during his time watching his dad," a source told the Mirror.

Coleen has previously said she wants to give her children every opportunity to see their dad play while they are still young. Speaking about her decision to take Kai and Klay to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, she told HELLO! Online: "I would not like my kids to grow up and say, 'Mum, why didn't you take me to watch dad in the World Cup?' That was my thought throughout.

"Even though they've had that experience and they probably won't remember it, at least they've got the photographs and hopefully they'll get to go to the next one."
