Howard Donald confirmed this week that the band are preparing to release a brand new album, and embark of a huge tour in honour of the occasion. He also revealed that he and his bandmates, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen, had spoken to Robbie Williams and Jason Orange to see if they were interested in taking part.

"We've been in touch with Jason and we've been in touch with Robbie," the 45-year-old told the Sun. "Jason is in his place where he is now, and he's not got any intention at the moment to be back in the band.

"Whereas Robbie – we've been talking to Robbie about it, and it might be that we do a 25th anniversary album, that we do some co-writing or some extra tracks on that."

Mark added: "I think it would be nice to do something with him. In our minds at the moment there's an intention to do some new tracks, a greatest hits, and a tour, then we'll see."

A source based in LA, where Robbie lives, confirmed to the Mirror: "Gary has always been the planner and his mind is focused on the 25 project. Robbie says he is up for coming back and performing again.

Robbie first left Take That in 1995, but re-joined Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason in 2010 for their new album Progress, and a 2011 worldwide stadium tour.

Jason, meanwhile, announced his decision to quit the band in September 2014, leaving Gary, Mark and Howard to continue as a three-piece.
