The couple have split after an 11-year marriage

Despite being together for eleven years, the couple's marriage has not been without its difficulties. Halima was arrested on the same day she claimed the couple had split in 2015 on domestic abuse charges after sources claim she bit Jermaine's leg. However, she was released on $50,000 bail, and the case was subsequently dropped.

Jermaine spoke about the incident, saying "things happen." He said: "It's obvious, I've been with Halima for 11 years, I still love her, things happen. She is still my wife."

The former Jackson Five band member has yet to speak publicly about his break-up from Halima, and has been tweeting about his late brother, Michael Jackson, following a recent media frenzy surrounding the singer. He wrote: "In death, Michael still suffers trial by media but his exoneration is enshrined in court transcripts 'journalists' are too lazy to read.

"Let Michael rest in peace. Leave. Him. Alone."
