Briana Jungwirth has pleaded with members of the public to stop making "hateful and inappropriate" comments about her and her child. The 23-year-old took to Twitter just days after it was revealed that ex Louis Tomlinson has requested joint custody of their five-month-old son Freddie, and defended her right to share images and videos of her baby boy.

"To all those who feel the need to make disparaging, hateful and inappropriate comments concerning me and my son Freddie," she wrote. "I am sincerely sorry that you all have chosen to focus your time and attention on my son and the life of my son. Surely you have better things to do than pry into the personal life of a single mum and newborn child.

'Proud new mum' Briana Jungwirth often shares videos and photos of Freddie on social media

"I am a proud new mother that is extremely joyous about my child being in this world and have shared that joy with friends and family on a daily basis – often times through social media.

"However, that does not give anyone the right, or the invitation to be nasty and disparaging towards me."

Briana continued: "I am confident that in the days and weeks to come, you all will find that your negativity and venomous attacks were little more than time wasted. In the meantime – I am hopeful that you will respect my son's privacy and find it in your hearts to discontinue the overwhelmingly inappropriate comments about me, my family, and most importantly, my son Freddie. Thank you."

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Louis is unhappy at Briana's propensity to share photos of their child on social media and wants her to consult him prior to posting pictures of Freddie.

According to TMZ, the 24-year-old star is ready to settle custody proceedings with Briana, providing their relationship is kept offline, and he is able to pre-approve which shots of his son are uploaded.
