Frankie Bridge celebrates little Carter's first birthday

How time flies! Over the weekend Frankie Bridge celebrated her younger son's first birthday by throwing an outdoor fun-filled party at home. The Saturdays singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her adorable little birthday boy, Carter.

The collage showed just how much Carter has grown, from his newborn days to his 12-month mark. The fair-haired youngster was dressed smartly in a blue romper for his big celebration and giggled sweetly at the camera.

Proud mum Frankie had an animal-themed cake made for him, while the garden was festooned with balloons and children's toys, including a mini basketball hoop and a giant Connect Four.

Frankie Bridge's son Carter turned one over the weekend

"This little pudding is 1 today and I couldn't be prouder!! Such a lovely little boy. Just makes everybody smile happy birthday!!! XXXX," wrote Frankie.

The 27-year-old is married to footballer Wayne Bridge and the couple also have an older son Parker, who turns three in October.

While The Saturdays are currently on hiatus, with the five band members working on separate projects, Frankie has been focusing on an issue close to her heart.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star has been making a documentary on internet trolls, and during an appearance on Lorraine she spoke about receiving online abuse in the past.

"I've had some really nasty comments, things about my weight, past relationships or whatever, death threats," she said.

"It just really frightened me really. I didn't really tell anyone about it. I just thought because it's online I just thought, 'Oh what can you do about it?' I think that's the worst thing, it does make you feel quite lonely and that there's nothing you can do about it."

On what she would say to her own trolls, Frankie said: "It makes me nervous. I think I would still be a bit scared of them. But I just would want to know why, I just don't think unless you know someone really, really well, how can you hate someone that much.

"And I just would want to know why and what they thought the effect would be and whether they just thought, a lot of people say, 'Oh it was just a joke or it was just a throwaway comment' but for the people reading it, it's really frightening."
