Sharon Stone has shared a rare family photograph to mark the end of the school summer holidays. The 58-year-old actress uploaded the sweet snapshot on her Instagram account on Monday, writing alongside: "#lastdayofsummer #family."

The image shows Sharon lying on the sofa surrounded by her three boys. Like the majority of teenagers, eldest son Roan can be seen looking totally engrossed in his phone as he sits beside his mum, while his middle brother Laird, 11, sleeps on the floor, his head resting on his arms.

Sharon’s youngest son, 10-year-old Quinn, meanwhile, is hiding under the sofa – perhaps in anticipation at the idea of returning to school.

Fans were clearly delighted to get a rare glimpse of Sharon's home life. "Beautiful family picture," one follower wrote alongside the snapshot, which has already received nearly 5,000 likes.

Sharon has certainly made the most of summer with her boys. In July, she shared a picture of Laird and Quinn building a den together in the woods, writing "The best toys are free", while another photo shows Laird looking out over the countryside with a pair of binoculars.

Sharon adopted Roan in 2000 with her second husband Phil Bronstein. Following the couple's divorce in 2004, she went on to adopt Laird in 2005 followed by Quinn in 2006.

Speaking last summer, Sharon said she was ready to get back on the dating scene. "What's happened is my kids have reached the age where I feel comfortable to date," the 56-year-old star told Extra. "I didn't want to date when they were little. Who needs a bunch of people running in and out of their lives? Now I feel comfortable dating," she said. "I am available for dating."

Sharon has been married twice before; to TV producer Michael Greenburg from 1984 until 1990, and Phil from 1998 until 2004.
