Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were reunited on Monday as they returned to their presenting duties on This Morning. The pair may have spent the summer away from viewers, but it seems they couldn't bear being apart from each other.

The popular duo went on a joint holiday to Portugal with their families, and as they sat down to front This Morning's 29th series, Holly and Phillip reflected on the highlights of their trip.

"Our big news happened in the last week really," said Holly, who has three children Harry, Belle and Chester with her husband Daniel Baldwin.

Phillip and Holly made their return to This Morning on Monday

"Chester who turns two at the end of this month… he's decided he doesn't want to be a baby anymore. He won't sit in the high chair, and nappies – he keeps pulling the tabs and taking his own nappy off, so I've got him a potty. But he's done it, we are a nappy-free zone!" said Holly, 35.

The doting mum shared a photo on Instagram a few days ago, showing Chester's brand new potty. "Goodbye nappies... Hello potty! His choice not mine! What else can you do when he keeps taking off his own nappy #pottytraining #wecandothis xxxx," she wrote.

Meanwhile Phillip's highlight was cooking up a feast for his friends and family – and riding an inflatable unicorn in the pool.

"I cooked a massive paella for thirteen people… and I rode a unicorn!" laughed Phillip.

The 54-year-old TV star posted a photo poolside, writing: "Just.... er... riding on a Unicorn #holiday."

This isn't the first time Phillip and Holly have jetted off to the same sunny destination. Over Easter the TV power couple stayed just "streets away" from each other, again in Portugal.

When they returned, Phillip told viewers: "It's lovely to be back. In fact, while it's like we haven't seen each other for a long time, we were two streets away from each other in Portugal. We can't keep away from each other."
