Dame Joan Collins has revealed how she is coping with the death of her younger sister Jackie in a candid interview. As the first anniversary of Jackie's death approaches, Joan admitted she misses her sister and explained how she had handled the grieving process.

"I miss her terribly," Joan confided during her appearance on This Morning. "Grief is a process. I think I cried for two or three months then you get over it and accept it in a begrudging way. Then you get angry like why did this happen to her."

Joan Collins got emotional as she reflected on her sister Jackie's death

Joan continued: "There's no good thing about it but the way around it is thinking of it like we are just in different places, as if she's just in LA."

The actress made the comments ahead of the first anniversary of Jackie's death on 19 September. Jackie passed away at the age of 77, after a secret seven-year battle with cancer. The best-selling author had only made her daughters aware of the diagnosis as she did not want any pity from her friends and family.

Joan previously revealed she only found out about her sister's breast cancer battle three weeks before she passed away, and penned a touching tribute to Jackie just days after her death in 2015.
