Kate Hudson is on the search for a hot new man – who looks just like Brad Pitt.  The 37-year-old actress, who split from ex fiancé Matt Bellamy in 2014, opened up about her dating prospects during an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show this week, and said she wouldn't turn down the newly-single star.

"You know what I really want right now?" Kate said. "Honestly – I'm just gonna be honest – I want (a) funny (guy). Funny makes me happy. But I just want someone who is really hot! Like I just want, like, a hot guy right now. Not quite for life, you know?"

When her host asked Kate directly if she would like to hook up with someone as genetically blessed as Fight Club star Brad, the actress enthusiastically replied: "Yes! I think Brad is very, very handsome."

Kate has been linked to a number of famous faces in the past – including Nick Jonas, Derek Hough and Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez. But whoever she dates, Kate refuses to speak publicly about her partners until she has introduced them to her sons - 12-year-old Ryder, from her marriage to Chris Robinson, and five-year-old Bingham, her child with Muse frontman Matt.

Brad and Angelina Jolie announced their split earlier this month

"The reason I don't talk about anything like that is because I have kids," she recently told Marie Claire.

"People ask that question as if, 'Oh yeah, it's really healthy to publicly talk about who I am or am not dating when I've got a tween.' [Ryder] can read, and he can hear. I'm not going to indulge in that kind of thing until there's someone in my life who I am introducing to my kids."

Kate is on good terms with both her sons' fathers, and said the key to maintaining those friendships is forgiveness. "I think everybody wants to point fingers," she said. "If you are a person who takes responsibility for yourself and your part in it, you have a much better chance of maintaining a nice relationship.

"It also means that you grow up. A lot of people don't want to grow up because it sucks!"
