Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle's dog is already embracing her royal beau's native country. The Suits actress posted a snap of her pup "Guy" wearing a Union Jack sweater.

Attached to the post, Prince Harry's girlfriend penned, "For the love of hand-me-downs. This was Bogart's sweater when he was a puppy, and now it's keeping Guy warm. #puppylove #adoptdontshop #reducereuserecycle."

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has added a new little monster to her collection. The mother monster showed off her new pup on Instagram. 

Gaga posted a photo of her introducing her new "little pig" to her two older dogs. "I'm proud to announce we added a new member to the #JOANNE family. I haven't named him yet but I call him both cowpig and moopig in the meantime!"

Princess Olympia

Princess Olympia was joined by her furry companion Storm for a stroll in New York City. Appropriately enough, the Greek royal captioned the photo from their outing, "Storm and the city."

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton has a new "baby girl!" The socialite introduced her new black and brown Teacup puppy to her Instagram followers writing, "Meet the newest member to the @HiltonPets family. What should I name this lil cutie?" While the adorable pup doesn't have a name as of yet, Paris already seems smitten by her new pet. The DJ noted, "Her little smile melts my heart."

Taylor Swift

Taylor is a proud cat lady, often posting photos of her pets Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson on Instagram. These lucky cats live a charmed life, travelling with Taylor by private jet and hanging out with her friends including Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik.

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend have a family of dogs including bulldogs Pippa and Putty, who appear to have hit it off with the couple's daughter Luna.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid set up a personal Instagram profile for her cat Cleo in early 2015, but hasn't managed to keep the profile updated due to her busy career.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner often shares photos with her pet dog Norman on Instagram. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also owns pooches Bambi, Ernie the Dachshund and Penny, plus a bunny called Bruce.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding bought her cats Lennon and Wallace in 2015 and appears smitten. The Something in the Way You Move singer often posts photos and videos of her pets on Instagram, including a clip of Wallace engrossed in watching Planet Earth II.

Brooklyn Beckham

Olive Beckham has become a much-loved member of the Beckham family since they brought her home in September 2015.

With over 30 million Instagram followers between them, David, Victoria and Brooklyn decided to get their puppy in on the act too, with the spaniel attracting over 81,000 followers to date on the social networking site - @olivebeckham23.

Amanda Seyfried

Animal loving actress Amanda Seyfried has set up an Instagram profile for her pet dog Finley.

The pooch has over 42,000 followers for his Instagram account @finnsite.

Carrie Fisher

Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, who sadly lost her life this Christmas, is another famous face whose pet is on social media. Gary has an Instagram account in his name and is sadly mourning the death of his beloved owner. 

"I was always by your side but best of all you were always by mine. #RIPCarrie," he mourned. 

Demi Lovato

Following the sad death of her pet dog Buddy in 2015, Demi bought another puppy called Batman, who she frequently shares pictures of on Instagram. The singer previously described the pet as her "little angel" telling fans: "Here's my youngest son.. My little snuggle bug and my little superhero... Batman."

Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory star is a true animal lover and does a lot of work to support Paw Works, an animal rescue centre in Southern California. As well as her "main man" Norman, Kaley also owns a number of other dogs and a horse.

Lewis Hamilton

Another celebrity devoted to his dogs is Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, who regularly shares snapshots of his dogs Roscoe and Coco on their Instagram page @roscoelovescoco.

The profile, which was set up in January 2015, has almost 105,000 followers to date.

Miley Cyrus

A devoted animal lover, Miley Cyrus owns a number of pet dogs, many of which she adopts from animal rescue centres. As well as Milky (pictured), the singer also has a cat called Keke, a Pitbull called Mary Jane and even a pet pig inventively named Pig.

Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell often refers to his Yorkshire Terriers Squiddly and Diddly in interviews, once joking that his son Eric spends so much time with them his first word may be a bark.
