Michael Buble has decided to bow out of hosting next month's Brit Awards in London. A representative for the singer confirmed to HELLO! Online that the Canadian star has cancelled his appearance on 22 February.

While no reason for the cancellation has been provided, it is suspected that the 41-year-old singer's primary focus is, and will continue to be, his son Noah, who is undergoing treatment for cancer.

Michael and Luisana released a statement in November revealing their older son's cancer diagnosis.

In November, Michael and his wife Luisana Lopilato released a statement on their three-year-old son's heartbreaking cancer diagnosis: "We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children," it read.

"Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing."

Over the past few months, the couple have devoted all of their time to taking care of Noah and their youngest son Elias, who will turn one on 22nd January.

Michael is still scheduled to host the 2017 Junos in April.
