Linda Nolan has given an emotional interview about her recent diagnosis with secondary breast cancer, just days after her sister Coleen Nolan revealed the sad news on Loose Women. Linda 58, told the Daily Mirror: "I don't want to die. All my little nieces and nephews, my step-children and step-grandchildren; they are my life now because I never had children. And when they come in to the hospital to visit me, I think, 'Oh my God, I wanted to see you get married or see you with your first boyfriend'.” The singer continued: “I want to grow old with my family. There is so much I want to do. I have to be positive and make sure I do. I am really scared. I'm not going to be dying from cancer, I'm going to be living with cancer if that's what I have to do."

Linda had previously been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and had been free of the disease for the last six years. The singer’s recent diagnosis came after she fell over and a scan revealed a cyst on her hip. This week Linda's sister Coleen, who is a panellist on ITV show Loose Women, wrote on her Twitter page: “The Nolan girls are strong…Thanks for all your messages of support at this difficult time…Linda will come out fighting." Another tweet read: "Thanks to everyone for the kind messages for Linda. Coleen will pass them on. Your support means so much to the family."

When Coleen revealed the news onLoose Women, she said: "This is so hard. It's difficult to know where to start. They found secondary cancer in Linda. They found a cyst attached to where the break was and it was earth-shattering for us initially," she revealed. "The positive thing is, although they've said it's not curable, it is treatable and it hasn't spread anywhere else. So that's the positive attitude she wants me to get across.” Linda and Coleen’s sister Bernie sadly passed away in July 2013 after her own battle with breast cancer. Coleen said: “Like Bernie, Linda's so strong and she's being really positive. She's had her down days, don't get me wrong. But she's being really positive."
