The coronavirus pandemic brought about countless changes to our lives. For a lot of couples planning to get married in 2020, COVID-19 forced them to make necessary changes to their original wedding plans to meet lockdown and social distancing requirements. But, love does conquer all and many couples got married this year in beautiful ceremonies.

There were a few surprise royal weddings, including Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's private wedding ceremony in Windsor as well as some heartwarming celebrity nuptials, including Scarlett Johanasson saying "I do" to Colin Jost and Lily Allen and David Harbour tying the knot in Las Vegas!

Chloë Sevigny

The actress, model and fashion designer secretly married partner Siniša Mačković in March 2020, she's just revealed in a surprising Instagram post.

The 46-year-old took to her account to share a photo of the couple after their wedding. She wore a black turtleneck, black skirt, black boots and black leggings, which she topped with a white veil for the photo.

"Happy one year anniversary my love," she wrote in the caption.

Since getting married, Chloë and the art gallery director have welcomed their first child, baby Vanja. The little girl was born in May 2020.

Prince Philippos and Nina Flohr

Princess Diana's godson, Prince Philippos, wed heiress Nina Flohr in a surprise ceremony in St. Moritz on Dec. 12.

The couple had announced their engagement in September 2020.

Nina confirmed the Switzerland civil ceremony on Instagram.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only the couple's witnesses could be present. Philippos, who is the son of King Constantine III and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, had his father present. Nina had her dad, Thomas Flohr, VistaJet founder and president, as her witness.

The Private Office of King Constantine shared a statement following the nuptials: "The private ceremony of the civil marriage of Prince Philip with Nina-Nastassja Flohr took place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11am at St. Moritz. Witnesses at the ceremony were King Constantine and Mr. Thomas Flohr, observing all the health instructions of the Swiss state.

"The immediate family congratulated the newlyweds after the ceremony.

"More details about the upcoming religious wedding will be given in due course."

It is believed the religious wedding ceremony will take place in 2021.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost tied the knot in October 2020.

News of their nuptials was shared on the Meals on Wheels America Instagram account on Oct. 29.

The couple married during a small ceremony that consisted of "immediate family and loved ones," according to a post on the account, "following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC."

The announcement was accompanied by a funny picture of the Staten Island Ferry that had the words "JOST MARRIED" superimposed on top of it. Colin was born in Staten Island while Scarlett was born in Manhattan.

The actress and Saturday Night Live writer met in 2017 and got engaged two years later. Colin, 38, popped the question to the 35-year-old with an 11-carat ring.

John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh

The WWE star married his girlfriend on Oct. 12!

The couple, who have been notoriously private since they made their public debut in March 2019, were rumoured to have gotten engaged back in February, when Shay was spotted with a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

The ceremony, which took place in secret, happened in Tampa.

Shay is from Canada and is an engineer. She and John started dating in 2019, a little less than a year after he and Nikki Bella split up. John and Nikki were an item for six years and were engaged, but called off their engagement in 2018.

Emma Stone and Dave McCary

The Oscar-winning actress and Saturday Night Live director prompted speculation they had tied the knot when they were pictured in public wearing what looked like matching wedding bands earlier this month.

Now it's been confirmed the two have wed! A source told People the two got married earlier this year. They were due to marry in March, but the coronavirus pandemic got in the way.

The couple are famously private and revealed they had gotten engaged in December 2019, when the two took to social media to share a photo of her holding the engagement ring with which he proposed. The beautiful jewelry was featured a pearl and diamonds.

Emma and Dave first started dating in 2017, a year after they met in 2016 when she hosted SNL.

Flora Ogilvy and Timothy Vesterberg

Another surprise royal wedding in 2020!

Flora Ogilvy married Timothy Vesterberg in a private wedding ceremony at Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace in London on Sept. 26.

The couple announced their nuptials on social media on Oct. 1 by sharing a wedding portrait from photographer Hugo Burnand.

"Timothy and I were married privately at Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace on Saturday 26th September," Flora wrote on her Instagram. "We are truly overjoyed and look forward to celebrating next year."

Flora, who is Princess Alexandra's granddaughter, wore a white Emilia Wickstead dress.

Timothy is a professional ice hockey player-turned-financier in his native Sweden and Flora, 25, is a curator and speaker.

The couple announced their engagement in November 2019 with Flora sharing a portrait on Instagram taken by her father, James Ogilvy.

Lily Allen and David Harbour

The "Smile" hitmaker and the Stranger Things star got hitched in Las Vegas – and were married by an Elvis Presley impersonator!

The two exchanged vows secretly on Sept. 7, tying the knot at Graceland Wedding Chapel in a ceremony carried out by Brendan Paul. Lily took to Instagram to share a series of snaps from the incredible ceremony, showing off the double-breasted, white Dior dress with a sweetheart neckline, black buttons and matching skinny belt that she paired with a simple veil.

The series of images sees the couple holding hands during the ceremony and enjoying a meal as a married couple at an In-N-Out Burger. Yum!

Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts

They're married! The American comedian and singer tied the knot. Niecy announced the union on Instagram on Aug. 31 with a picture of the two at their ceremony.

"Mrs. Carol Denise Betts @jessicabettsmusic #LoveWins," the 50-year-old wrote.

Jessica penned on her Instagram, "I got a whole Wife @niecynash1 #Bettsofbothworlds #LoveWins"

Niecy was previously married to Don Nash and Jay Tucker. She announced her separation from the latter at the end of 2019.

Harry Wentworth-Stanley and Cressida Bonas

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend tied the knot with her property developer fiancé in July.

The two were wed in a private ceremony with just a handful of guests in attendance due to wedding rules in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I won't have a huge wedding, that's not really us," Cressida said in January to ES Magazine. "We aren't traditional people, even though Harry [Wentworth-Stanley] proposed in a traditional way – I've never thought about how someone would propose to me. And I don't want a meringue dress. People look beautiful in them but I don't think I would."

Eleonore von Habsburg and Jerome d'Ambrosio

Eleonore von Habsburg and Jerome d'Ambrosio wed on July 20, 2020 in Monaco in a civil ceremony respecting COVID-19 restrictions.

Jewelry designer Eleonore wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder white dress by Carolina Herrera.

The Austrian royal, 26, is a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine and daughter of Karl von Habsburg and Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza. Jerome, 34, is a Belgian Formula E racing driver.

The newlyweds plan to celebrate the nuptials with a larger gathering after coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

Jerome and Eleonore met three years ago on a flight from London to Nice. In October 2019, HOLA! exclusively confirmed the pair would tie the knot in 2020.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

The eldest Princess of York and her beau tied the knot on July 17 in a private, surprise ceremony at All Saints Chapel at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

The two had originally been scheduled to marry on May 29, but the coronavirus pandemic meant they had to alter their plans.

The Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, the bride and groom's parents and Edoardo's son Christopher were among those present. Christopher was best man.

Beatrice looked beautiful in a vintage Norman Hartnell gown that was loaned to her by Her Majesty. She paired it with the Queen Mary Diamond Fringe Tiara, which the Queen wore on her own nuptials to Philip in 1947.

Princess Raiyah and Ned Donovan

Princess Raiyah of Jordan married Ned Donovan in the first royal wedding since COVID-19 lockdown restrictions were eased in the United Kingdom.

The Jordanian royal shared photos of their July nuptials on social media and revealed that she and the 26-year-old journalist had originally planned to marry in April in Jordan.

"Thank you all for your kind messages on our wedding!" Raiyah wrote on Twitter. "While it was originally planned for April in Jordan, the pandemic derailed those plans and it was safer for my husband’s family to hold it in the UK."

The newlywed added, "God willing we look forward to celebrating in Jordan once the situation allows."

Ned is the son of author and actress Tessa Dahl and Patrick Donovan. His grandfather is the late children's novelist Roald Dahl.

Raiyah is a 34-year-old academic who specializes in Japanese literature. She is the youngest daughter of Queen Noor and the late King Hussein of Jordan.

Ned and Raiyah got engaged in October 2019 and the Royal Hashemite Court announced the engagement that November.

Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie

Congrats to the happy couple, who were secretly married on June 2 in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Dennis and Laura, who have been together since May 2019, originally wanted to tie the knot this past April, but the coronavirus pandemic threw a wrench in their plans. Their June 2 ceremony was extremely private. They had no guests other than the minister who married them, who also served as their witness.

"Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride," Dennis told People of the nuptials.

Laura wore a Chosen By one Day gown for the ceremony, and the two gave each other Bulgari rings. This is the fourth time Dennis has been married and Laura's first time tying the knot. We're glad they've found love!

Raven-Symoné and Miranda Pearman-Maday

The former That's So Raven star took to Instagram to share her joy at having married her partner, Miranda.

"I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home," she wrote as she shared a photo of the two hugging. "I love you, Mrs. Pearman-Maday!"

In another post, Raven-Symoné shared a photo of the couple's gorgeous matching tattoos. They've both gotten an "R" and "M" merging inked on their wedding fingers through Winterstone.

Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters

Talk about rekindling an old flame! Pamela Anderson and A Star is Born producer Jon Peters just got married!

The former Baywatch star and Jon, who dated 30 years ago, reportedly tied the knot on Jan. 20, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The publication says the two reunited a few months ago and have been successfully keeping their relationship out of the press until now.

"There are beautiful girls everywhere," Jon told the publication. "I could have my pick, but - for 35 years - I've only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild - in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated."

We're happy to hear the two have found love together! Both have been married five times. Pamela has some very famous ex-husbands, including Motley True drummer Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

Frankie Muniz and Paige Price

The former Malcolm in the Middle star has tied the knot, reports say, and married longtime partner Paige Price the weekend of Feb. 22 in Phoenix, according to Us Weekly.

While nothing's been officially confirmed, Frankie referred to the weekend as "the best... of my life!" In an Instagram post he shared on Feb. 24. In it, he beams proudly at the camera with Paige as the two take in a hockey game.

Frankie and Paige got engaged in November 2018 at the Lantern Festival in Arizona. They've been dating since 2016.

Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters - Jan. 20

Touchdown! Forgive us the bad pun, but one of the biggest sports stars in America and a former Miss Universe got married this week.

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, who is now a centerfielder for the New York Mets as a professional baseball player, married Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters on Jan. 20. The two were wed in a 30-minute ceremony in her home country of South Africa, and shared a snap from their nuptials on Tim's Instagram.

Demi-Leigh also shared a video that featured clips from their nuptials weekend on her Instagram account.

"The most magical last few days!" she wrote.

Tim told People he and Demi-Leigh wanted the wedding to be "absolutely perfect" and spent tons of time planning it.

"This is a celebration of our relationship, and we're surrounded by the people we love," he told the publication.

"We're both very traditional," Demi-Leigh also told People. "We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives."

Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick

Congratulations, Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick!

The comedian became one of the first celebrities to get married in 2020 when she tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend on Jan. 1. Just a few hours earlier, Kathy announced the two had gotten engaged, and soon they found themselves saying "I do" at a ceremony that was officiated by Lily Tomlin!

"What was supposed to be a shallow, 'toot it and boot it' one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful," Lily joked as she wed the couple. Footage of the side-splitting ceremony can be seen on Kathy Griffin's Twitter. "They stayed together. Then they couldn't stay away from one another."

Kathy beamed as she wore a beautiful white gown and carried a bouquet of red flowers. Randy looked sharp in a suit.

We caught up with Kathy and Randy earlier this year when Kathy invited us into her gorgeous Bel-Air, Calif. home for an exclusive interview. She discussed her relationship with Randy and how the two support each other. We're thrilled that they decided to start 2020 by tying the knot!
