Since Charlotte Church turned her back on classical music in favour of talk show presenting the world has been awaiting her successor. Now it seems 11-year-old Brit Emilia Dalby is ready to take on the mantle of Voice Of An Angel with the release of her first album If in the spring.

The diminutive Salisbury Cathedral chorister has been singing since she was six and has already performed before royalty - treating Princess Anne to a rendition of Rule Britannia at a fundraising event when she was just nine - and shared billing with Sting at another charity concert. The precociously talented soprano, who loves listening to Kelly Clarkson and Jem, sings in Middle English, Welsh, Swedish, Italian and Latin, as well as her native tongue, on the debut disc which includes classics such as Ava Maria, as well as some less well-known folk songs.
