One North London eatery has an interesting solution to the current economic pinch. Little Bay, a chain of restaurants known for serving haute cuisine at low prices, is to allow customers at its Farringdon branch to choose what they pay for their meal in February.
“It’s entirely up to each customer whether they give £100 or a penny,” explains Peter Ilic, owner of the restaurant group and a London restaurateur of over 26 years standing. "All I’m asking is they pay me what they think the food and service is worth.
While they tuck into a menu which features Pressed foie gras terrine and Whole boned poussin, diners are treated to an added bonus in the form of one of the live opera performances for which the restaurant is famed.
Little Bay Farringdon is located at 171 Farringdon Road, reservations: 0207 278 1234. Drinks are not included in the 'assess your own bill' offer.
