Sophie Dahl in the frame for new BBC food show
Move over Nigella Lawson - model-turned-cookery writer Sophie Dahl is being hailed as a new candidate for ultimate domestic goddess. The BBC have reportedly approached the blonde beauty to front a new food programme.
Sophie is being lined up by the channel after her first cookbook Voluptuous Delights was praised by food critics. The work - which contains the model's favourite recipes, funny stories and kitchen tips - was proclaimed "an absolute joy" by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
The statuesque beauty - granddaughter of children's author Roald Dahl – has also been dubbed by her publisher: "The new cookery goddess of our time."
Comparisons with Nigella – one of the most popular female chefs on TV – may be expected, but the brunette culinary whiz isn't going to be drawn into any talk of rivalry. "What I should tell you about Sophie is that I adore her," says Nigella.
