Silvena Rowe has had quite the meteoric rise to fame – from her early days as a brusk but charming character on Great Food Live on the Food Network to the heady heights of book and restaurant fame has been swift and worthily earned.
Her restaurant, Quince, has received rave reviews and this success must partly be down to her cooking style which you can now get a piece of at home with the publication of her cookbook Orient Express – Fast food from the eastern Mediterranean.
Orient Express combines no-fuss, speedy recipes with unusual combinations that are showcased through fantastical sounding chapters – Emerald spice & Gold dust (Za’atar and Saffron), Fire & Noble Velvet (Chilli and cumin) to Exotic Perfume & Delicate fragrances (Cinnamon and flowers).
