America's president Barack Obama famously enjoyed a pint of Guinness on his trip to Ireland back in 2011, Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she "always has a Guinness before an awards ceremony" and Irish stars including One Direction's Niall Horan, former X Factor judge Louis Walsh, The Saturdays' singer Una Foden and 12 Years a Slave star Michael Fassbender will no doubt toast St Patrick's Day with a pint of Guinness.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, meanwhile, will mark Ireland's patron saint with a visit to the annual St Patrick's Day Parade at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, where the Duchess of Cambridge will present the traditional sprigs of shamrock to officers and guardsmen.
