Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry star side-by-side as judges in the nation's favourite baking series, but Paul has made it clear who he think would win if the pair were to go head-to-head in their very own Bake Off. "I'd win hands down without a shadow of a doubt!" the confident baker told The Sun newspaper as the duo prepare to appear on a special celebrity series of The Great British Bake Off in aid of Comic Relief, which kicks off on Wednesday evening.

"Maybe we'll do something with [presenter] Sue Perkins and I working on a team against Mary and Mel Giedroyc." Baking queen Mary, meanwhile, remained as modest as ever when discussing her culinary skills. The 79-year-old star laughed: "I don't know what he'd do to me if he didn't win! I'd let him win."

Other stars to join the GBBO judges on the four-part series include Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Lulu and comedy character Dame Edna Everage. The celebrity special will also see the likes of Jonathan Ross, Gok Wan, Alexa Chung and Abbey Clancy try their luck at making sweet treats in the bunting-decorated marquee. Viewers are in for a treat, as the BBC One show's judges have warned the celebrities were "very competitive".

Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna also promises to bring a laugh or two to the kitchen, previously admitting that she doesn't know how to cook and hates cake. "I don't eat any meals. I eat a bit throughout the day if I'm hungry, but not a big meal," the 68-year-old told The Mail in the lead-up to The Great Comic Relief Bake Off.

"I'll have some nuts or maybe some crisps and that's enough. "I have no idea how to cook because I don't eat. I hate cake. I don't remember the last time I ate a cake. I don't like desserts and I don't like anything sweet."
