Once again, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle website Goop has released its annual detox plan to help shake off those extra pounds that were accrued over the winter break. According to the site, "the goal with the annual goop detox is to not try to pull off a week of starvation" but rather "to simply clean up the menu and eat as well as possible. "Health guru Gwyneth, 43, teamed up with the holistic LA-based Ayurvedic spa Surya to "re-set the palate" with a range of super healthy recipes.Scroll down for the 2016 Goop detox

Following this year's diet means: "No gluten, dairy, corn, soy, caffeine, alcohol, added sugar, red meat, shellfish, white rice, or nightshades (tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, potatoes)."While some individuals might feel withdrawals from caffeine, the site assures participants that "sticking to the meal plan won’t make you feel like you’re depriving yourself of anything."

Breakfast: chia pudding

Goop continues, "Getting a great sweat is key for detoxification," but explains that some individuals might need to reduce the level at which they exercise so for a less intense workout, the site suggests yoga and walking. One ingredient that's firmly on the menu is water. "Drink as much water as you can," advises the Iron Man actress, who has just launched a 'clean beauty' line with everything from lipsticks to blushers that are also vegan-friendly.

Day one of the seven-day plan, which can be extended as long as users would like, kicks off with Surya spa detox tea which helps "detox the kidneys, aid digestion, and clean the blood". Chia pudding follows, along with five-spice salmon burgers with detox Asian salad for lunch and chickpea and kale curry with brown rice for dinner. An afternoon snack comes in the form of GP's Morning "Smoothie".For those that can't cook though, the site simply suggests salads should "focus on whole veggies, lean proteins, and a dressing like olive oil and lemon."
