Aldi launches incredible Christmas hampers – and they start at just £19.99

There may still be 87 days until Christmas, but it's not too early to make a start on your Christmas shopping! According to American Express, some eight million Brits have already bought some of their Christmas gifts, and you may want to join them when you see these new festive hampers from Aldi.

The budget supermarket has unveiled five premium hampers for Christmas 2017 following the success of the range last year, and they start at a purse-friendly £19.99. Even the most expensive hamper is a lot more affordable than its rivals from department stores such as Fortnum & Mason, coming in at less than £100.

Aldi's luxury Christmas hamper costs £99.99

Available to pre-order now, the "most luxurious" hamper contains a bottle of champagne, three bottles of wine, a Christmas cake, Panettone, chocolate truffles, pudding, two boxes of crackers and a pack of mince pies for £99.99.

If you're on more of a budget, there is a "Festive Delights Hamper" filled with puff pastries, chocolate pudding, truffles, winter desserts and coffee for £19.99, or a "Treats Hamper" that has everything from red wine to crackers and coffee, all presented in a wicker hamper for £29.99.

Aldi's hampers are not the only new Christmas product that have got shoppers talking in the lead up to the festive season. The budget supermarket delighted customers when it revealed plans to launch a three litre bottle of prosecco in stores in November. The jeroboam of prosecco contains the equivalent of 24 glasses and will cost £39.99 a bottle.
